Information we collect

We collect a few broad kinds of information:

• Information you give us. When you email us or reach out for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
• Account identity. Bofern and Verhive require you to sign in with Apple or Google before you can use their product features. They do not offer email/password login or guest product access. The identity provider gives us a stable provider account identifier and may also share account details such as your name or email address, depending on your provider settings. We use that information to create and secure your account and let you sign in.
• Content you submit in our apps. Some apps work on something you send them - for example a photo of a plant you want diagnosed, together with any notes or names you add. We process that content to produce the result you asked for and to keep your history working inside the app.
• An installation identifier. Bofern and Verhive create a random identifier for that app installation. It is used only to establish and transport the session needed to complete secure sign-in. The pre-sign-in session does not unlock product features, and the identifier is not used to decide free allowances, subscriptions, reputation, or enforcement. It is not a hardware identifier, advertising identifier, or identifier assigned to you by Apple or Google.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites and apps, we receive technical details such as device type, operating system, app version, approximate region, and basic usage events. This helps us understand how our products perform and where they break.

If you download an app from an app store, that store may share limited, aggregated information with us (for example, install counts or crash reports) under its own terms.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve our website and apps.
• Authenticate accounts, keep sessions secure, and apply the correct free or paid allowance.
• Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and measure performance.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and activity that threatens our users or our services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand usage in aggregate. We do not use them to build advertising profiles, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.

Photos and AI processing

Some apps answer a question about a photo you take - for example, diagnosing a plant from a picture of a leaf. When you ask for that, the photo is sent to OpenAI, reached through the OpenRouter gateway, which reads it and returns the result. Both are companies outside PzzaWorks, and what they do with the photo is covered by their own terms.

We ask first. Nothing is sent for analysis until you explicitly agree to it inside the app, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time from the app's Data & privacy settings. With it withdrawn we send no photos anywhere - the features that depend on the analysis stop working until you turn it back on, and everything already in your history stays as it is.

The photo is then kept in private cloud storage so your history keeps working, and it is reachable only through short-lived links issued to your own app. We do not publish your photos, and we do not share them with anyone beyond the providers that process or store them for you.

Sharing and disclosure

We share information only when it is necessary to operate our products, and only in these situations:

• Identity and service providers. Apple or Google when you choose them for sign-in, and trusted vendors who host our infrastructure, store content, process purchases, deliver email, or provide analytics. They receive only the information needed for their role and are required to protect it.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, or to respond to valid legal requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
• Business transfers. If ownership of our apps or business changes, for example through a sale or transfer of assets, information may move as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Deleting your account

Apps that keep an account for you also let you delete it from inside the app. For Bofern and Verhive, deletion permanently removes the account and the data tied to it, including provider-supplied account details, sessions, saved content and history, and stored photos.

A minimal provider-reputation record deliberately survives deletion. Bofern and Verhive each include three successful free diagnosis or identification uses for the lifetime of a verified Apple or Google identity. To stop that allowance or an enforcement action from being reset by deleting and recreating an account, we retain a keyed one-way blinded value derived from the provider type and its stable account identifier, free-use and rejected-analysis counters, and any moderation strikes or suspension state. This record does not contain the raw Apple or Google identifier, your email or name, submitted content, photos, or the app's installation identifier. After deletion it has no account or content attached to it. If the same provider identity later signs in again, we can derive the same blinded value and restore only its allowance and enforcement standing.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, or as required to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage data is generally kept for a shorter period, except where it is used to strengthen security or improve functionality. The minimal blinded provider-reputation record described above is kept for as long as needed to preserve the lifetime allowance and prevent repeated abuse or evasion of a suspension.

International transfers

We work as an independent developer and rely on service providers in different countries. Your information may be processed outside the region where you live. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California, among others, have specific rights under their local laws. To make a request, just contact us and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our website and apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our products may link to sites and services we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be made clear. Continuing to use our website or apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
